Sea to Shining Sea is my new podcast, focused on the American Discovery Trail and trans-continental walking across the USA. In the first episode, posted prior to my walk, I introduced the route through interviews with three trailblazers: Eric Seaborg, one of the ADT’s co-founders, and Ken and Marcia Powers, the ADT’s first continuous through-hikers.
The newest episode, Delaware: The First State on the ADT, begins a series of episodes that will take a state-by-state approach to the route. It features two interviews, the first with a Delaware resident, Terry Shuchart, who section-hiked the ADT through her state, and the second with Denise Clemons. Denise has wide-ranging expertise on Delaware’s history and culture, including a walking guide to Lewes (the first town encountered on the ADT) and a culinary guide to the state.
Once I have the third episode posted, the whole series will be available for listening on all of the major streamers (Apple, Google, etc.). For now, though, the Soundcloud links above are your best bet.
